About.

I’m Talwinder Sidhu, a Meditation Teacher and the author of two #1 meditation bestsellers: Meditate: Breathe into Meditation and Awaken Your Potential and The Meditation Kit: A Beginner's Guide to Items for a Safe Space.
I teach meditation through private lessons, group classes, seminars, and retreats, reaching thousands across the globe through online courses and social media.
My work also extends to teaching children how to meditate, which led me to develop specialised meditation techniques for people with neurodiverse abilities, such as those with ADHD and autism. Check out my latest release, Calm Kids: A Step-by-Step Guide to Meditation for Kids with ADHD!
Meditation for Autism & Other Neurodiversities
In addition to teaching meditation to individuals and groups, I specialize in techniques tailored for neurodivergent minds, including those with ADHD and autism. Rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all approach, I focus on creating personalized meditation practices that align with each individual's unique patterns—whether that means channeling excess energy through movement, using breathwork to manage sensory overload, or crafting visualization techniques for focus. My goal is to make meditation accessible, practical, and empowering for neurodivergent individuals. Explore my latest insights on meditation for ADHD and autism on my blog.
Meditation for Mental Health
Meditation is a powerful tool for mental health, helping to regulate emotions, restore clarity, and break free from negative thought patterns. Many of my students struggle with anxiety and addiction—two challenges that thrive on compulsion and unconscious reactivity. Through breathwork and mindfulness techniques, I teach methods to regain control, calm the nervous system, and replace stress-driven responses with conscious awareness. Whether you're looking to ease anxiety, overcome addictive tendencies, or cultivate inner peace, meditation can empower you to reclaim your mind and well-being. My Journey
My meditation journey began when I was 9 years old, in response to feeling insecure, anxious, and unwelcome in an environment that was unkind to anyone with non-conforming expressions. Overwhelmed by societal pressure to conform, my mother introduced me to meditation as a way to manage my daily mental health struggles. The Sikh community I grew up in guided my practice and taught me the importance of seeking truth to centre myself and live life with integrity.
Over the years—I'm 37 now—I have delved into Buddhist, Taoist, and Hindu philosophies, explored the major religions from Christianity to Islam, studied human behaviour from psychology to marketing, and even dipped into the world of psychedelics and spirit plant medicines in pursuit of truth and enlightenment.
Teaching Philosophy
My conclusion? Life is yours to create of your own free will. However, only by embracing your own inner truth will you begin to recognise and decipher the nature of Truth itself. I developed an approach to meditation that grants you the freedom to think and feel while empowering you to detach and silence the mind from anything that does not serve or enlighten you. I call this practice Truth-Seeking meditation.
My Approach
Despite numerous studies proving the effectiveness of meditation and mindfulness, many people still struggle to maintain a daily practice—especially those who are neurodivergent or have a mental illness.
A recent study identified four main barriers to meditation. I focus on breaking down these barriers, making your meditation practice as natural to you and your routine as brushing your teeth:
- Barrier 1: You don't see how it can help you. I teach the mechanics of meditation in a practical and logical format, so even the most skeptical minds can understand how it works and what they're meant to be doing.
- Barrier 2: You feel you don't know enough about it. I provide an introduction to meditation to help you understand what it truly means, beyond the misconceptions caused by colonisation and cultural appropriation.
- Barrier 3: You think it's too hard to fit into your daily life. You can start with just one conscious breath a day. Try it now: slowly inhale and exhale through your nose. This simple act can pave the way for a more extensive practice.
- Barrier 4: You feel it doesn't match your culture or social norms. Meditation is how you tune into the frequency of truth, a safe space where you can be completely yourself and discover who you are, free from societal pressures or expectations.
